What IP’s Look for in a Surrogate!

We asked our social media followers (IP’s) what they look for in a surrogate and here are some of the responses. Straight from my comment section:

-It is a gut feeling!

-Is this someone I can and do trust?

-Are they going to put my baby first in terms of health/safety?

-Are they going to communicate at the level I want/need? For some that’s constant updates (as would happen in a normal pregnancy), for others it’s only updating when absolutely necessary.

-Someone who has the same values!

-Personally, I'd look for someone of a similar faith system. I feel like we'd bond more and see the pregnancy the same way.

-I personally think their health is very important and if they can continue to stay healthy during the pregnancy period. Also making sure they have no criminal records and no drug records of any kind. I believe that'll say a lot about a person.

-I personally do not care. No drug abuse of course and no heavy stress factors.

-Are they okay with a home birth?

-Someone stable, similar faith, personally.

-The husband to be evaluated as well.

-A well maintained comfortable life style

-Some kind of general stability. I want someone who has a job and a decent roof over their head.

-Commitment! We are spending a lot of money. Please don’t waste our time and money. Stability. Healthy. Kind and easy to talk to. Eagerness. We need you to match our energy!
